Consumer Marketing Insights efforts are grounded in deep understanding of brands, consumers, shoppers, competition, product categories, cultural trends and market dynamics. The Associate Manager, Consumer Marketing Insights Brand Development is responsible for executing research and for delivering insightful findings in full mix development in the innovation development. The Associate Manager, Consumer Marketing Insights in Brand Development provides primary support to the Senior Manager or Director, Consumer Marketing Insights Brand Development. Job Responsibilities: Strategy and Brand Vision Support: A: Provides guidance to direct manager during strategic planning and situation assessments. A: Participates in strategic brand assessments. A: Assists with brand learning agenda and research plan development. A: Brings a spirit of collaboration and service to the role. Consumer and Innovation Development Research: A: Assists manager with a variety of research methods such as: consumer segmentation, concept testing, new product testing, copy testing, and driver analyses. A: Communicates actionable unbiased recommendations on how to move the business forward by delivering solutions that surprise and delight the consumer and win with the shopper. A: Coordinates process of helping all stakeholders (both internal and external) understand the full spectrum of the consumer in the context of innovation development. Product and Concept Testing A: Assists manager in the execution of research projects to identify unmet needs. A: Assists manager with the execution of product and concept tests. A: Conducts the initial analysis of product and concept tests. A: Conducts secondary research on product trends. Consumer Culture and Advocacy: A: Demonstrates curiosity about and respect for our consumers. A: Participates in opportunities to bring cross:functional team members closer to consumers. A: Participates in the organizationA?s strategic learning plan for consumer, end user research. A: Coordinates communicating research findings to organizational counterparts. A: Serves as an unbiased, empathetic representative for the consumer and their needs. Project Management: A: Assists with the preparation of research design. A: Informs stakeholders on critical project details and executional elements. A: Collaborates with direct manager to ensure research projects are designed to ask the right research question and address important business issues. A: Documents client needs and provides recommendations on project scope. A: Provides effective project management including managing day:to:day relationship with suppliers, and ensuring project is within budget and schedule constraints. Agency Partner Management: A: Maintains day:to:day relationships with agency partners and informs stakeholders on any changes timing, budget, and final deliverables. A: Coordinates final deliverables with agency partners, checks reports for accuracy, and recommended necessary edits. A: Generates an initial list of agency partners for potential consideration. Organization Role and Structure and Talent Management: A: Collaborates with brand management and product development peers. A: Works to maximize the effectiveness of consumer marketing insights processes. A: Completes Performance Plus A?My Action PlanA? process for self. Qualifications A: Four:year college degree, graduate degree or PhD a plus. A: 2+ years of experience in a consumer insights/market research role. A: Demonstrates an understanding of differences among countries and cultures. A: Experience directly conducting quantitative and qualitative research studies. A: Experience contributing to the strategic learning plan for a brand or product category. A: Experience tailoring communications to different audiences and
